Solent Churches League was established in 1987.

In 1998, due to the number of Churches wanting to enter a team, the League divided into two divisions. Currently there are two leagues of 10 teams but we anticipate this growing, if the last few years are anything to go by.

The Ethos of the League is simple. Its competitive football played in a more friendly environment than most other leagues. It has a high regard for the respect of officials and does not tolerate foul and abusive language. The League simply wish to demonstrate that being involved in church is enjoyable and that there is far more to life than a lot of people currently experience. Our lives have a defined purpose and so does the league.
